“I built the Ritz mostly according to plan, but with the addition of a couple of braces in the wing, and I used light weight plastic RC style wheels to help with ROG take offs. I found that the use of epoxy was essential where the music wire meets the wing, and also where the tail boom meets the fuse. These need to be very strong bonds! It is possible to build this model to be very light weight, and there is a certain appeal to an ‘only the essentials’ flying model. You get alot of fun, easy flying for the amount of time it takes to build.” – Kevin Laitala

“Since this model was from the 1940’s, I took the liberty of making look like a Wakefield model.” – Heikki

“Hello, here is my Ritz, I found the kit to be very straightforward and liked the instructions too. It flies nice when the CG is set right, and in most cases will fly no less than a minute!” – Jenny Heard

“Our Ritz and Jimmie Allen Special both fly well in the southern hemisphere too – Many hours of fun had and being had by both myself and the kids!” – Toby Wetherill

“I built the Ritz and installed an ar6400 receiver with an e flight p-51 motor gear drive and prop, used some 2 mm carbon fiber to stiffen the fuselage, left it a twin fin, made a bellcrank under the stab with wires leading to the rudders, also shortened the nose 2 1/2 inches. Great flying little plane! Very responsive and the p-51 gear is plenty of motor, has a great climb out rate and is a ball to fly! Thank you again for continuing to make great kits for us modelers who prefer to do it the hard way.” – Jerry Carmer
