The Stinson 105 was built in 1939 by Stinson Aircraft Corporation as their first light airplane. The 105 could carry 4 passengers or a pilot and a large cargo load. It was a great family or business plane. It could be flown by any pilot into/out of any field that can be called an airport. It was used during World War II by the United States Air Force.
This kit is a 1:20 scale, flying model. Pre-1942 design, eligible for Society of Antique Modelers (SAM) contests.
This free flight rubber powered kit contains a full-size rolled plan, hand picked printed balsa and balsa strip wood, rubber motor, E-B propeller, EBM thrust bearing, clear plastic for the windshield, wheels, landing gear wire, and Easy Built Lite tissue in a variety of appropriate colors. To build this model you will need a building board, hobby knife, fine sandpaper, and glue.

“Attached are photos of the Stinson 105 kit I just completed. Great kit! You asked me to report how she flies. In a word–wonderful! I flew it indoors today using the kit prop, one 12″ loop of 3/16″ tan super sport rubber, and nearly hit the ceiling of my local gym. I didn’t time the flights, but with a slightly left turned (hinged) rudder and a bit of clay on the trailing edge of the outboard wing, it flew from knee height majestically to near the ceiling, then back down as the power ran down. Thanks for a great kit!! These are the modifications I made to the stock kit: 1. Aluminum tube for the motor post 2. Raised the leading edge of the wing about 3 degrees relative to the stabilizer. 3. Sheeted the cowl with 1/16” sheeting all around. (If I had it to do again, I’d have used 1/32nd.) 4. Beef up the nose area with 1/32 balsa sheet. Can’t wait to start my Miles Mohawk (12″) kit next!” – Dave Hable
