Rearwin Speedster

A beautiful airplane with the unlikely combination of speed, fuel efficiency, safety and stability. This 1934-37 sport airplane is a great subject for modeling.

This kit is a 1:10.6 scale flying model. Pre-1942 design, eligible for Society of Antique Modelers (SAM) contests.

This free flight rubber powered kit contains a full-size rolled plan, hand picked printed balsa and balsa strip wood, rubber motor, 12″ EB propeller, EBM thrust bearing, clear plastic for the windshield, vacuum-molded spinner and wheel pants, wheels, wire, and Easy Built Lite tissue in a variety of appropriate colors. To build this model you will need a building board, hobby knife, fine sandpaper, and glue.

Buzz Trabbic’s beautiful Speedster has been modified to include removable wings.

“The wings, struts, nose package and landing gear are removable. The wing is attached internally using rubber bands while the lower end of the struts fit into a slot in the fuselage and the top ends use T pins to snap into pieces of PETG plastic that are glued to the wings. The landing gear and nose block are held on by Moses Magnets.” – Al Yunker
