The Baby Flea is a high-wing, flying model. Instructions are included for optional CO2 installation. Pre-1942 design, eligible for Society of Antique Modelers (SAM) contests.
This free flight rubber powered kit contains a full-size rolled plan, hand-picked printed balsa and balsa strip wood, rubber motor, E-B propeller, EBM thrust bearing, clear plastic for the windshield, wheels, wire, and Easy Built Lite tissue in a variety of bright colors. To build this model you will need a building board, hobby knife, fine sandpaper, and glue.

Hi Dave,The plan came from an old friend and flying buddy, Paul Penna. He had bought a kit in Toronto, Ontario in the 1960’s back when EBM was still in Canada. Anyway, he kept the old plan using it to build another version for Telco CO2 power with micro-RC. On seeing this fly so well, I now have built one as well.
Seeing that the angles were 0-0-0 (prop-wing-tail), I extended the top, straight longeron over the cabin area to give approximately +2 degrees. I sanded the front of the fuselage to provide a couple of degrees of downthrust. The front formers are 1/32″ covered with a soft balsa block at the nose to seat a Williams Bros engine cylinder. The rear peg was brought forward one space, using a more standard aluminium tube. The only issue I face is a warped tail which I might have to re-cover with some reinforcements. Glides like a charm!
